Em conversa com O Timoneiro, ela relatou a atual luta da categoria.<br \/>\nNatural de Canoas, Teresinha viveu toda a vida por aqui. Ela afirma que passou por dificuldades na inf\u00e2ncia, com uma educa\u00e7\u00e3o r\u00edgida. &#8220;Aos 13 anos j\u00e1 tentaram me casar, na \u00e9poca mulher s\u00f3 servia para pilotar fog\u00e3o&#8221;, relata.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo ela, a cultura era de que mulheres n\u00e3o poderiam trabalhar fora de casa. Aos 18 anos, j\u00e1 mostrando uma personalidade combativa, fez justamente o contr\u00e1rio do que seria o &#8220;ideal&#8221; na \u00e9poca e come\u00e7ou a trabalhar como balconista na livraria F\u00e1tima. Algum tempo depois, Teresinha prestou concurso municipal. Hoje, ela est\u00e1 h\u00e1 mais de 27 anos trabalhando na Prefeitura, atuando no Simca desde 1999.<\/p>\n<h3>Direitos da mulher<\/h3>\n<p>De acordo com Teresinha, a situa\u00e7\u00e3o mudou muito desde sua juventude. &#8220;Hoje temos leis como a Maria da Penha e diversos direitos conquistados&#8221;, afirma.
