A ordem de pris\u00e3o foi emitida pelo ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), ap\u00f3s o esgotamento dos recursos no processo em que Collor foi condenado por envolvimento em um esquema de corrup\u00e7\u00e3o ligado \u00e0 BR Distribuidora.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"medium-centered subtitle\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"853\">A defesa confirmou que a pris\u00e3o ocorreu por volta das 4 horas, quando o ex-presidente estava a caminho da capital federal. No momento, ele permanece custodiado na sede da Pol\u00edcia Federal em Alagoas, aguardando transfer\u00eancia para Bras\u00edlia, onde cumprir\u00e1 pena em regime fechado.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"1288\">A condena\u00e7\u00e3o de Collor, que soma oito anos e dez meses de reclus\u00e3o, \u00e9 resultado das investiga\u00e7\u00f5es da Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Lava-Jato. Segundo a senten\u00e7a, ele teria recebido R$ 20 milh\u00f5es com o aux\u00edlio de dois empres\u00e1rios \u2014 Luis Pereira Duarte de Amorim e Pedro Paulo Bergamaschi de Leoni Ramos \u2014 para facilitar contratos fraudulentos entre a BR Distribuidora e a UTC Engenharia. Em troca, oferecia apoio pol\u00edtico para manter diretores na estatal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1644\">Na noite anterior \u00e0 pris\u00e3o, Moraes rejeitou um novo recurso apresentado pela defesa (embargos infringentes), considerando-o protelat\u00f3rio e sem respaldo legal, j\u00e1 que n\u00e3o houve votos absolventes suficientes no julgamento para justificar tal recurso.
